"Riding By To Say Hi!

While my five year old grandson was visiting me last week, I taught him how to sew on a button. He was so proud of being able to do this. He wanted me to make a card with buttons for him. I am also sending him a few buttons he can practice with. I love this little H'Angler guy. I colored him with Copics and framed him with my Nesties. The dp came from a large package a dear friend of mine picked up for me at Cosco...thanks Wendy! I used a boarder punch for my strip down the center and my sentiment  is framed with a metal frame from SU. The buttons are from my stash. I am still recovering from the flu so I have played this afternoon. Hope your day was a blessing.

"Witch You Were Here!"

I wanted to start sending my grandson's Halloween cards. Since we just delivered them home after a stay in our house I thought this cute little image from "Stitchy Bear" was the perfect thing. The card reads on the inside, "Witch you were here!" I miss going with them and their mom trick-or-treating. I colored my image with Copics. I also had some little Halloween foam cut outs. I added a rhinestone eyes to my little cat. The dp was scraps I had in my stash. I cut the moon out with a circle cutter from SU and colored it with Copics. It is just a fun little card with a darling image that I like to use. You can find this image and more like it at http://stitchybearstamps.com/

Happy Birthday!

I love the 'hangler' stamps! They are so adorable and make such cute cards. This is a birthday card that I mad to have on hand when someones birthday sneaks up on me. I used scrap basket papers. If you check prior posts on my blog you will see that I have lots of scraps and I intend to used them. I colored my cute little image with copics. then I cut her out and popped her on a Nestie frame. I added a little glitz to her bows with Stickles, two tiny half pearls to her shoes, and a little pink Spica pen to her dots on her dress. I had some lace from my Mom's sewing room. that I added to the left side of the card and added some ruffled lace to the bottom of the card. I hope my mom is looking down from heaven and smiling how I have used her scraps. I added pink half pearls to the lace and some flowers from 'Wild Orchids'. I had a plastic birthday sentiment that came from a now closed $ store. It was perfect for my pink and yellow birthday theme. A little yellow bow I made on my bow easy was  the final touch.

"Boo"

I don't know why but this little witch just cracks me up. She has this bewildered look as if to say "what do I do with this thing"! Ok, maybe I am still tired and my imagination is running wild. I used some 'non traditional dp for this card. The paper is from DCWV 'Linen Closet' pad and I love it. It has the loveliest colors and lots of sparkle. The ribbon and metal frame I added came in a package from a 'Candy' win! Thanks Diane I am loving it! I colored my Maggie with copics and sponged around her with a 'Ice Blue" ink. I added a rose from 'Wild Orchids' and added a little purple Stickles for some sparkle. I also added iridescent half jewels to the buttons of her coat, and Spica to the stitching. The sentiment was hand stamped and then I used my purple Spica pen to make it sparkle. This little witch is now ready for some Halloween fun! I am enterning this card at the following challenges:

"No I Not"

Our vacation with the family has come to an end and I am trying to get my Mojo started again. I think I am still trying to get my legs back under me. We had a wonderful time and so enjoyed having our little grandsons with us. I know that I am blessed in so many ways. I colored this image from Mo Manning. I think she is the 'sassiest' little thing. My youngest grandson is three and often trying to assert himself with his older brother who is five. His funny little sass to his brother is "No I Not!" I thought it would be fun to use on this card.  I think I will stamp on the inside something like "On Santa's Naughty List" or "Going To Sleep Before  Santa Comes". I haven't decided yet. I used a Nestabliity to cut out my image, and hand cut around the legs and hand so they would be outside the frame. I had some Christmas scrap pieces in my scrap box so I chose them for this card. I also had these three corduroy button flowers in my stash and they were the perfect color. I used my Spica pens to add bling to her dress, shoes, and the sentiment. The sentiment was hand stamped with a alpha set that I have had for  several years. Just a fun little card to hopefully bring a smile to someones face!  I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"Peek-A-Boo Pumpkin Boy"

Anyone who has gone to a "pumpkin patch" with younger children knows that you are in for a variety of experiences. This cute little guy is called "Peek A Boo" and he can be found at http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/ He looks as if he is ready to have a little mischievous fun. I used dp from Basic Grey and dry wall self adhesive tape for the mesh. I colored my cute and cuddly image with Copics. I add fall leaves I found at a Hobby store and pulled the "eek" ribbon from my stash. I swiped the rope from my husbands shop, thought it added a fall twist to the card. With a few Stickles I finished off my card Stitchy Bear is sponsoring some great prizes with their play along challenges. Be sure and check out all the great prizes and play along!

"With Love"

While my grandson was playing in my scrapbook room, I did manage to do one quick and easy card. My image is from Kenny K and is for the 'stitching' challenge this week. I colored my image with copics and added a little ribbon. The sentiment is from an old set that I have had for several years. I used SU punches and foam tape to mount the image. I sometimes forget that simple can be just as nice as a fancy, frilly card. lol I am entering this card at http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.com/ This will probably be the only card this week while the 'grands' are here.

"Luke's Card"

Luke, my five year old grandson wanted to make a card all by himself. This is his card he made for his daddy. He did not want the card to look like a girl's. He also informed me that someday all of the things in the scrapbook room would be his. lol. I love it when kids create and I encourage it! Luke is excited that he is being 'published' on my blog.

"Stitchy Bear Challenge"

I just love this little country angel by Robin Fetish. You just can't help but smile when you see her sweet little face. You can find her at

I colored little "Christie Angel" with my Copics. Because I wanted her to look special for her birthday party, I printed two angels and cut the dress, bow, pocket, star and shoes from one angel and glued them to the other for added dimension. I used my clear blender to add dots to her cute little bow. I add some white glitter to the star and her wings to make her sparkle. I used a Copic pen to color my pearls a pink color and used a die to cut the lace trim on the side. All of the paper came from my scrap box. I added ribbon that I had in my stash for the side and an antique metal frame for my birthday greeting. "Christie Angel" is now ready to attend the birthday bash and have lots of fun! This is my first card for the DT I hope you enjoy it.
http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/ she is called "Christie Angel". The wonderful thing about this digi is all the applications it can be used for. 'Stitchy Bear' is having a wonderful birthday celebration and challenges galore! Fun for everyone with some wonderful products for you to add to your stash! "Our Lincoln City, Oregon Beach Trip"

My son Jeff, and grandson Logan!
Patty and dh Steve
Luke feeling pretty good after fracturing his skull.

Just a few pictures of our coast trip. We had wonderful days with sunshine, although these pictures do not show the sun. This was  a great trip for the whole family. The grandsons are staying one week with us and then we return them to mom and dad. I will have some cards to post later next week. Sorry, but family first and my time is so short and precious with the kids.

"Believe"

I really like a play on words when I make my cards. My grandson really enjoys them and thinks they are a great joke. This is another card I am taking on our coast trip. I actually made two cards so each grandson will get a 'treat' . I was so fortunate to win this stamp set from "KLM Designs" it is such a cute stamp set and I know that I will have lots of fun with it. I colored the image with 'Copics'. I cut the image out with my 'Createive Memories' circle cutter and mounted it with a 'Nestie'. The treat cup is from "Stamping Up". My dp is from DWAV fall collection. I also added red rhinestones for a little bling. The sentiment is from 'Heartfelt Creations'. They have some great sentiments and you can purchase them from 'Joan's Gardens'.
I also framed my sentiment with a 'Nestie'. I am entering this card at http://joanscreations.blogspot.com/2010/09/joans-gardens-14-weekly-challenge_09.html
I must say that I didn't add lace or pearls, but I did follow the red, green and brown theme. Unfortunately, my picture just doesn't pick up the colors as well as I would like. It is still a fun boy card.

'A Little Birdy Told Me"

I am sorry to say that I have not been as organized with my digi's as I should have been. I have this cute image and I can't tell you where I got it. If  anyone knows please let me know so I can give credit. My oldest grandson, who is five always asks me to make him a treat cup card. He loves the candy more than my cards! So, I have made these two cards for him and his little brother (3). I colored this digi with 'Copics'. My sentiments on both cards are hand lettered. The first card says "A little birdy told me...You're 'tweet" the second says "Lets scare...up some fun" I will add this to the cards for the coast trip. For those who were so kind to pray for Luke, he has a fractured skull, but he is doing quiet well. He is supposed to stay 'quiet' for the next two weeks. This is going to be hard as he is a typical active little five year old. Thank you for your prayers I do believe that is the reason he is recovering so quickly.

"For My Little Pumpkin" LOTV

I am looking forward to a week on the Oregon coast with my two grandsons, adult children and DH. I wanted to make a card for the two grands to open each day. This little charmer is perfect for them. (I make two cards alike, but with small differences so each boy has their own card!) This image is from "LOTV". I colored the image with "Copics". I cut the image out with my 'Creative Memories' circle cutter and framed it with 'Nestabilities'. My dp is 'DCWV' Fall Collection. I add some fall leaves and two pumpkin buttons. My sentiment is an old one that I no longer no the maker. I do love it for my grands especially this time of year. I am entering this card at http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ the challenge this week is 'One for the Boys'.

"With Love"

I fell in love with 'Lil Angel' at "Stitchy Bear Stamps". They are running challenges galore and have some great digi's like this 'lil angel' in their store. I colored her with 'Copics' and added a little touch of blue 'Spica' pen to her necklace and gold to her halo. I also added glitter to her wings to make them sparkle. I cut her out with my 'Creative Memories' circle cutter and framed her with a Nestabilities die. I added a little Christmas brad and my sentiment is from an old boxed set. I am sorry there is no name on it. My dp is all scrap pieces. I added roses with a little ice 'Stickles'. The roses are from "Wild Orchids". A simple little Christmas card to send this year. I would also like to say that I am not as adept as the other Patti S at "Stampersize" (check out her fun blog) entering multi challenges with one card, but I have posted more cards this week! lol I am entering this card at a brand new challenge for me is is http://www.papercraftstar.blogspot.com/  The challenge is a picture inspiration, I chose the colors in the picture rather than a coffee or tea theme. Be sure and check out the challenges at http://stitchybearstamps.com/  Have a blessed week!

"Can I Go Too?"

When I saw this digi stamp at "Stitchy Bear Stamps" I knew I had to have her. She is so adorable with her wistful little look. I colored her with Copics and then cut her out and popped her with dimensionals. I added a little gold "Spica" pen to her buckles on her hat and belt. I punched a moon out with a SU circle punch, and inked the edges with SU Close to Cocoa. I hand stamped my sentiment and added some candy corn stickers. I had two little Halloween embellishments that I added with a scrap of ribbon to finish my card. I am entering this card at http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2010/09/midnight-madness-sketch-challenge-70.html You can find this cute digi and many, many more  at http://stitchybearstamps.com/

"Santa I've Been Good!"

Have you ever had a mall Santa ask you if you have been good? I have and I always say yes I have...hmmm, I guess some might argue that point! lol. I am hoping that Kenny K comes out with some "Christmas" digis. (hint, hint). these are the perfect digis to practice your coloring with. I used scraps of paper on my card. I colored the image with Copics. I added some sparkle to the ice cream with Spica. I used my Cricut to cut out the swirls and then add chunky star glitter to them. I glued on half pearls and punched my sentiment out with Nestablilities. The sentiment is hand stamped with a small alpha stamp set that I have had for years. I am entering this card at  http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.com/

"Bearing Gifts"

Have you noticed that you have a few stamps that you just keep reaching for time after time? This LOTV stamp is one of them. I just have a few (now) but I love these stamps! On to my card, I colored my image with Copics and cut the image out with my Creative Memories circle cutter. I framed it with my Nestabilites. My dp is from Design Studio's Vintage Pack. Don't you just love the colors? I added roses from Wild Orchids. I added Stickles to the roses to make them glow like Christmas. I added ribbon that I found at Big Lots last year. I added an antique frame from my stash to the sentiment.  I am entering this card at http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/

Mama said, "There would be days like this!"

I just love this little guy from Mo Manning! I think any mom can relate to days like this! Ha! I colored my digi image with Copics. I used a white gel pen for the dots on his socks. You just know a few more kicks and those socks are going t come off. I used my never ending scraps for the card. I framed the image with a dark brown paper that I embossed with my dotted swiss folder. I cut my rick rac with my Die-namics die and popped a little brown ribbon that I tied with my bow easy. a sewed a little brown heart button onto the bow. I used my Nestablilities to cut out the sentiment frame. The sentiment I hand stamped with a mini-alpha stamp set that I have had for years. The inside of the card says, "There would be days like this!  I am entering this card at http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/  and http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/2010/09/challenge-35-inspired-by-song.html

"Christmas Wishes"

This card I used the "MoJo Monday" sketch for my design. I colored my Magnolia image with Copics. I used scrap pieces on this card. I used my Candy Cane Stripe embossing folder on my solid red pieces. I had a snowflake cut out that I had stolen pieces from for another project so I used the base that was left for the frame for my Maggie. I inked the edges with SU Sage Green. I added a Christmas Ribbon that I found last year in the $1.00 bin at Big Lots. Don't you love those after Christmas sales for things like this? I used my SU tag punches for my tag. "Your Never More Than"

I have stated before that I love my "Inky's" I am especially enamored with this little doll. She  reminds so much of my daughter as she started school and how cute she looked. She is now an adult and doesn't remember how hard it was for her Mom to let go. (Yes! I cried as she skipped off to her first day of school, leaving me in the dust! LOL! Anyway to my card. I love fall and it's rich warm colors and this little Inky just cried out for the fall colors. I colored my image with "Copics" and added a little bling to her earrings, headband and bracelet with my "Spica" pens. I used DCWV "Autumn Splendor" dp. I used a "SU" stamp for the bench she is sitting on and added a little hand drawn pillow. (I added the pillow because I had her floating above he bench.) I used "Nestabilities" to frame both the image and the sentiment. I added the little leaves to the sentiment from an old "SU" set. "Take It Easy"

This is the perfect thing to be doing today. I can feel fall in the air and I fear our summer is soon going to be over. My image is  from "Lily of the Valley". Doesn't he look like he is enjoying a nice little nap?
I colored the image with "Copics" and cut it out with my Nestablilites. I let a small portion of the image run outside the frame. I love that look.  I add a sheer brown ribbon  and finished off my easel card with a little green frog button. Have a blessed weekend. I am entering this card at http://thesecretcraftersaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2010/09/challenge-99.html

"Just For You"

I went a little crazy on the easel cards today. I wanted to practice making them and I just had to use my "LOTV" stamps. I love this little guy! As a kid, my brothers and I  played in ditches floating our handmade boats. Ah...the good ole days! On to my card! The image is from LOTV and I colored my image with "Copics". I cut the image out with my "Nesties" and then Cut a circle of cork and mounted the image on it. I found a twig in our yard and wrapped twine around it and glued it to the card. I punched the sentiment and the frame with "Nesties" . I used "My Minds Eye" dp and finished off the card with two brads from "Close to My Heart". Just a fun little card for my grandson.

"Gifts Galore"

I am having so much fun with my new "Lily of the Valley" stamps. This one reminds me of myself Christmas shopping. If you look closely you can see a very determined look on her face as she multi-tasks. I stamped my image with dark cocoa "Memento" Ink and colored the image with "Copics". I sponged around the image and added 'glittery' punched snowflakes. My dp is Jen Wilson "Signature Christmas". I must admit I have been hoarding this paper as it is so pretty. I used my "Nesties" to cut out my sentiment.  I added glitter to the edges of my sentiment, and on the shoppers hat and coat. I added plastic button snowflakes to finish off my card! The Christmas Stocking

Just another Christmas card that I made for fun. The image is from Mo Manning and I colored it with Copics. I used scrap dp and added some little Christmas lights I had. I finished the card off with a little glitter to the stocking and a sheer bow. I hope you enjoy this card creation from scraps.  I am entering this card at City Crafter Challenge Blog you can find their challenge here:   http://citycrafter.blogspot.com/  and http://aliceinwonderlandchallenge.blogspot.com/2010/08/chapter-28-child-of-pure-unclouded-brow.html

"I Need A Time Out!"

I love this image from "Mo Manning", probably because it reminds me of my son when he was two. He didn't have many of these melt downs but when he did...oh, my! He is now a wonderful young man with two beautiful sons and I know they would never do this...lol! Anyway, to my card. I colored my digi image with Copics. I added a small baby button to the bibs for a little dimension. I  ruffled my ribbon and punched my corner frame with a SU punch and then added another baby button.  A fun little card to brighten someones day.  I am entering this card at http://copiccreations.wordpress.com/
I hope you have a blessed day!
